Aerobic exercise burns fats. It makes your heart beats faster, therefore strengthens your heart muscles. Aerobic exercise increases the number of blood cells; consequently your organism gets more needed oxygen. Such exercises as swimming, biking, dancing, fast walking, hiking, basketball, tennis, and many others belong to the aerobic exercise.
Anaerobic exercise performs building of the muscle tissue in different parts of your body. This type of exercise also helps you to burn more calories. Anaerobic exercise will help you to feel strong and look toned. Anaerobic exercises include stomach crunches, push-ups, pull-ups, lifting-weights, pilates and yoga.
When you are going to involve yourself to a new physical activity, firstly you have to ask yourself following questions:
- Will I enjoy it? - Is it safe for me? - Is it available to my medical condition? - Do I have enough time to do it? - Do I have any friends who do it?
In case if your answers are negative, select the other activity. It is very important to find something that will fit into your schedule. Select that one which will satisfy you and your needs. Make sure it is safe.
The most important thing is to move more. There are many way to get started. For example, use the stairs instead of elevator, walk while you are talking on the phone, walk to the school or job.
There is no necessity to worry if you do not have athletic equipment. In fact, you do not need anything special to exercise. For example, you can use canned foods or any others heavy thing instead of weights. You can use your own body weight to strength train by doing push-ups. You also can go for power walks or run around your neighborhood or the school track.
There are many different exercises to train the muscles of all parts of your body. Search for fitness magazines, TV programs, fitness video tapes in order to find the most proper exercise for you.
