Processed food can be always found on the shelves of the local grocery stores. The food which is delivered by the manufacturers should be fresh and not rotting in the bag.

Hydrogenation is a process which provides longer life for foods like oils, margarines and shortenings so that they won't go rancid. Most refined oils are extracted at high heat and harsh chemicals are involved in this process. After that they are bleached and undergo chemical treatment to produce an oil that has no color or taste. Such oils are used for making breads, cakes and cookies. You shouldn’t buy foods with food labels "hydrogenated" or "partially hydrogenated".

On the other hand hydrogenation is a useful process because nobody wants to consume rancid foods. Such food products are also very costly. However, hydrogenation produces synthetic fat, known as trans fatty acid, which is harmful for your immune system. They can increase your blood cholesterol level which may cause heart diseases.

If food manufacturers remove fat from the products it means that they will definitely add sugar instead in order to make their foods taste good.  Sugar begets the craving of still more sugar, which is the main aim of manufacturers.

For the proper functioning human body requires the consumption of fat in moderation. Your body has no ability to produce enough essential fatty acids that’s why it should receive fat from the foods. Eating fat assists in the burning of fat stores and lowers your appetite. Without that feeling of being satiated, you will feel hungry all the time and it may lead to overeating and creating more fat stores.

You should realize that none of these two foods are safe and healthy.
In order to provide your body with essential nutrients you should take whole foods. Whole foods preserve their natural state. These foods will give your body natural fat and sugar in small amounts. You need to memorize that the less the product is manufactured, the better quality it is. Due to whole foods you will have greater energy and improve your health.
