When people diet they usually don't think carefully about what they drink. You need to. In fact, drinking and dieting go hand in hand.
Eating and drinking are closely linked. Eat the right foods and drink the wrong drinks and you will cut down your chances of losing weight.
1. Water The best drink for losing weight is water. It is the most important catalyst for weight loss in any diet. A dieter has to drink at least eight glasses of water per day.
Water acts as a natural appetite suppressant. It keeps your stomach full and fends off dehydration which can be a cause of hunger pangs.
Many times when you feel “hunger signals”, they are practically “thirst signals”. That’s why you should drink a glass of water before eating.
Most important process that is performed by water is metabolizing. Water helps the kidneys flush out waste.
When your organism doesn't get enough water the liver which works to provide stored fat for energy also takes on the task of helping out the kidneys and thus becomes less effective at metabolizing fat.
Drinking eight glasses of cold water per day burns about 62 calories. It happens so because your body has to work to raise that water’s temperature to body temperature.
2. Alcohol and Soda You shouldn’t drink to much alcohol or sodas because they are high in sugar. They are filed with plenty of calories. They also make you feel hungry.
Not all alcoholic drinks contain the same ingredients. That’s why they have different affects on a diet.
While you are on a diet you can consume shots of vodka, gin, or rum, but with no mixer added. The point is that pure spirits contain approximately 100 calories and very little in way of carbohydrates.
Wine is ok in moderation. Many people consume a glass of red or white with their meal. Both of them are low in carbohydrates and calories. Don't drink sweet wines.
Beer is full of calories. Remember that a pint of beer can contain a whopping 300 calories.
3. Coffee and Tea Coffee is fat-free. But drinking it can hurt your diets.
Low and fat-free milk is ok, but avoid cream. Besides, go easy on the sugar. You have to remember that coffee without added sugar or cream does not contain any calories.
Tea does not contain any calories before you add sugar and milk.
If you are looking for an option that does not contain caffeine, you may consider black or green tea. Many herbal teas possess a diuretic effect.
4. Green Tea Green tea is a favorite diet drink. It contains the high concentration of antioxidants. It has been proved that drinking just one cup per day will speed up your progress.
5. Fruit Juices When you choose a fruit juice while dieting, you should always pay attention to the nutritional information placed on the label.
You have to make sure that the juice is made from real fruit and not the sugar-filled concentrates that are loaded with calories.
 6. Milk Milk contains calories. But in case of right use it can help you lose weight. Choose fat-free or low-calorie milk.
Milk helps to lose weight because it makes you feel full. It also strengthens your bones, lowers blood pressure and provides a load of other nutrients our bodies need.
You may enjoy any drink even alcohol but do so in moderation.
