When a person has diabetes it is very important to watch their carbohydrate and sugar intake. But if you do not have diabetes, then consuming sugar will not cause to get the disease. Mostly the risks of getting diabetes connect with a diet high in inactive lifestyle, obesity and calories.

The second myth such that brown sugar is better than white. The one difference between these two types of sugar is that brown sugar contains minute amounts of minerals then white sugar. You would have to consume a lot of brown sugar daily in order to get any benefit from the minerals.

Another myth is that brown eggs are more nutritious than white eggs. The quality of the egg doesn’t depend of the color of its shell. The color is only a reflection of what breed the hen is. Brown shelled eggs are a product of a hen with red ear lobes and red feathers, while white shelled eggs are a product of hens with white feathers and white ear lobes.

And one more myth is to avoid seafood if you want to lower your cholesterol. Trans and Saturated fats are the main culprits behind high cholesterol. They are usually found in meat products, packaged and deep-fried foods.
